Use Desktop After the Course Ends

A handy feature of DaDesktop is that course participants can easily continue using their course machine for practice after the course ends. Participants receive an email before the course concludes asking if they would like to keep using their desktop machine once the course is over.

 

Each participant's course desktop is normally removed shortly after the course ends. If you'd like to keep your desktop to practise your course lab, you can clone it to a 'Standalone Desktop' for later use.

Please visit your Course page, select your Desktop machine, and click the 'Use desktop after course' button next to it.

 

Then, DaDesktop walks you through the simple process and lets you 'Enable' this operation.

Once enabled, you will see the following displayed next to your course machine.

To access your Standalone machine after the course ends, click the Standalones menu at the top of the screen.

Machines that remain unused for a month will be removed. However, users are sent an email in advance to give them plenty of notice if they wish to keep using any Standalone machines.
