Roadmap

DaDesktop for training roadmap

  1. Training materials organisation - Better integration with trainer materials, user notes, presentations, and so on.
  2. Auto Upscaling Desktop - If a participant's or trainer's desktop begins to run low on resources, the system should automatically allocate more (CPU, RAM, Disk) without needing to shut down the desktop.
  3. Real-time subtitles with translations - For instance, if a trainer is speaking in English and teaching Japanese participants, those participants can read Japanese subtitles in real time (available for customers who have opted for "Preview features").
  4. Real-time interpretation with AI - Japanese participants can listen to live Japanese interpretation even though the trainer is using English.
  5. Participant assistant - The system lends a hand to participants during labs: it suggests the 'next move' or notifies them when an exercise is done incorrectly, giving faster feedback when someone gets stuck. Also known as the Participant Assistant Agent. (available in Preview features)
  6. Statistics - Course coordinators and other stakeholders can track user participation.

DaDesktop for Work (DD4W)

  1. Public Cloud - Currently, DaDesktop for work is only available for private deployments. We're working to make dd4w accessible to the general public as a public cloud service.
  2. Better encryption integration - Right now, encryption configuration is handled solely by the operating system. We plan to allow users to integrate it with DaDesktop. A graphical interface would streamline the process (for example, users wouldn't have to type a password inside the machine since the system already knows who they are).
  3. Auto-switch Remote replica - The system will either create or identify the nearest remote replica to cut down on lag and give a smoother user experience.

DaDesktop Labs/Self-study

  1. The system provides feedback to users about their lab progress.
  2. Creator studio - Lab creators can conveniently edit recordings online and sync them with lab instructions, desktop templates, and other resources (already available in Beta).
