GPU support

DaDesktop offers two approaches to GPU acceleration:

  1. Physical GPU passthrough (available only in selected data centres in India). This delivers full hardware acceleration since it relies on an actual graphics card.
  2. GPU simulation through LLVM Pipe. This runs flawlessly on any of our Linux distributions, like Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04, but is currently not supported on Windows 10.

If you're uncertain whether your chosen application needs a GPU (for instance, Blender does), you might encounter a message like this:

"A graphics card and driver with support for OpenGL 3.3 or higher is required. Install the latest driver for your graphics card might resolve the issue"
